In this introductory summer course you will learn Hebrew as it is spoken in Israel today, from its very basics – no prior knowledge is required. You will learn the alphabet (אלף-בית), as well as some foundational vocabulary, grammar and conversational skills. By the end of the week, you will be able to write your own name, read simple texts and order a cup of coffee the way a ‘tzaber’ (native Israeli) would.
In your summer immersion week you’ll have daily classes from 10:00-11:30 and from 12:00-13:30. On Friday evening you will have dinner together at the D&A Humus Bistro in Amsterdam, where you can practice your Hebrew! (Dinner & drinks not included in the course fee).
