Join Marzia in our Taalhuis kitchen this winterday and learn how to prepare a tasty Italian Christmas dinner. Today we will cook Busiate with pesto alla trapanese (handmade pasta with fresh tomato and basil based sauce). This paste goes beautifully hand in hand with Insalata Palermitana di aringhe e arance (a typical Christmas salad from Palermo, the hometown of Marzia).
The pasta is vegetarian, the salad is NOT vegetarian, but we will also make a vegan version aside.
During this 2,5 hour workshop you will get your hands dirty while making your own hand made busiate and you’ll learn the secrets of making fresh tomato sauce from scratch. And you’ll of course learn the necessary cooking vocabulary in Italian while you’re on the job.
When dinner is ready we’ll open the wine bottles and set the table and enjoy this Italian dinner while we speak as much Italian as possible!
