Doing archeological fieldwork, studying, travelling, doing an internship – in short, staying in Greece is more engaging when you are able to communicate in… Greek! The Nederlands Instituut Athene and Taalhuis Amsterdam together with the Modern Greek department of the University of Amsterdam have developed intensive Greek courses in Athens. The courses are geared to students and PhD’s. In this 8 day course there are 4 to 4,5 hours of lessons each day (plus self study).
The next Modern Greek intensive course will take place from Friday 16 February ’24 (arrival day) until Saturday 24 February ’24 (departure day) and will be conducted on two levels: I and III.
Modern Greek I (Επικοινωνήστε ελληνικά 1 κεφ. 1-12)
Modern Greek III (Επικοινωνήστε ελληνικά 2 κεφ. 1-12)
These intensive courses take place at the Netherlands Institute and of course on the streets of Athens. In highly interactive lessons you will be encouraged to speak Greek from day one, and the teachers will mostly speak in the target language (Greek). The teachers will also help you to use the language outside the classroom by taking you on city tours to markets, theatres, museums and more.
Of course you will also work on your grammar skills and build vocabulary.
Deadline for registration is 9 January.
