Rocío teaches Spanish at Taalhuis Amsterdam since 2021. She has always been a language lover, ever since she was a child. That’s why she finally found her passion in teaching her mother tongue. After completion of her Bachelor Tourism and languages at the University of Sevilla, Rocío came to The Netherlands to study at the Instituto Cervantes in Utrecht for the DELE Examiner course and teaching training course.
One of her favorite things to do besides teaching is playing board games. Rocío brings them to her lessons when she finds the chance, through gamification and game-based learning. Rocío also loves reading books (especially in bed) and playing her little blue ukulele called Maui.
You will earn her friendliness when the first few Spanish words you name are nice stuff, like qué bonitos ojos tienes instead of bad words. Random words like vale, cerveza or burbuja will also make her happy.
