In 2022 Sam joined Taalhuis Amsterdam as an English teacher. Since she was a little girl, Sam has had a love of languages and exploring the way they connect people. With a Bachelor of Arts focused in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from The Ohio State University, she also works as a language consultant and is skilled in teaching English as a second language.

Sam loves finding similarities among the many differences between languages and believes that the best part of learning a new language is being able to explore a new culture. Nothing beats the feeling of reading a book in its original language or finding that there’s a whole new world of music to explore.

When she’s not teaching or learning a language, she’s probably hanging out with her kids at one of Amsterdam’s many gorgeous green spaces.
