Born in 1907, Parvin E’tesami showed her great talent in composing poetry as early as the age of eight, and today she is considered to be the most prominent female Iranian poet in the history of modern Persian poetry. She is known for using feminine themes in her works and reviving monazere, or dialogical strife in modern Persian poetry.
On Friday 3 December, Mehdi will recite and discuss one of Parvin E’tesami’s poems as an introduction to her poetry. Knowledge of Persian language is not a must, however, it would be a plus.
Where: Muiderstraat 24.
