Did you know that located within our café, we have a library with books and DVDs in more than ten languages? Our rich library has been set up slowly by staff and volunteers (Thank you!), and we will officially open it to our students and visitors after the summer holidays. But you can already borrow books now, if there is library staff on duty! Stop by and take a look at our collection. Remember: The Library Membership is free for Taalhuis students!

Currently, our library is run during limited hours by a group of enthusiastic volunteers. To offer more opening hours and to get everything ready for the official opening, we’re looking for more volunteers. Would you like to join us as a new member of the volunteer team? As a library volunteer, you will help keep the library a welcoming and well-organized space, and assist visitors with borrowing books. There’s also enough time to read a book yourself, catch up on some work and enjoy a nice cup of coffee.

Do you enjoy working with books in a lively, language-filled environment? Can you do a 2.5-hour library shift once a week or once every two weeks? If so, we’d love to hear from you! Some more practical information:
The library shifts take place every Monday to Thursday from 15:00 and 17:30 and 17:30 and 20:00. On Friday morning, there is another shift from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. We could especially use some extra help on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
