“Prego, entrate!” and come learn Italian at Taalhuis Amsterdam! Our Italian courses are taught in small groups, allowing you to improve your language skills quickly. We offer Italian lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced, from A1 to C2.
In class, both the teacher and the students speak Italian as much as possible to develop your speaking skills – obviously paying attention to correct grammar and vocabulary. At Taalhuis, you will be taught by experienced teachers whose mother tongue is Italian.

Most of our classes (A1 to C1 levels as well as deepening courses) use a text book, but this does not mean that all Italian lessons are taught in the same way. Of course, in our ‘casa delle lingue’ there is also plenty of room for culture, songs and the Italian news, so that you are completely ready for your next trip to ‘the boot’. In addition to Italian courses, there are also plenty of opportunities to support your language learning journey outside of the classroom. For example, you can practise your Italian during one of our intercambios (language exchanges), learn more about Italy and its culture by attending lectures, or improve your cooking skills along with your language skills by coming to our ‘Taalkeuken’ for a cooking workshop! Are you now fully motivated to learn Italian? Most of our courses (1 lesson per week) start in September, January and April. Intensive courses (2 lessons per week), conversation courses and cultural courses start in September, November, January, March, April and June. In July and August, we offer short summer courses for a number of languages.
You can also opt for private lessons or in-company training.
