Join our friend and chef Anastasis in our Taalhuis kitchen for a dive into Greek culture and cuisine, and learn how to prepare a traditional Greek dinner dish: Papoutsakia (eggplant in the oven) with mushrooms and feta, rice with star anise, and cabbage carrot salad.
All of these dishes are part of the Greek tradition of family dinners, where many people gather to meet and enjoy good traditional food and company. During this 2,5 hour workshop, you will get your hands dirty while making your own Greek meal. While you’re on the job, you’ll learn the necessary cooking vocabulary in Greek and some interesting stories and anecdotes about traditional Greek cuisine.
When the preparations are done, we’ll have a ‘borrel’ and set the table and taste a few starters. Then it’s time to taste this Greek comfort food and chat about the culture, cuisine, and language of this beautiful country.
