Is your crush Dutch, yet your Dutch skills don’t go beyond “dank je wel”? Are you thinking about learning the language of your next holiday destination, or do you simply have some free time this summer and picking up a new language seems the perfect way to spend it? Whatever your motivation, the Taalhuis Amsterdam summer school program is full of (online and on location) language courses to suit your goals and interests. Come learn Dutch, Italian, Farsi, Arabic, Turkish, Greek, Hebrew, Spanish, or Catalan with us this summer!
Starting from mid-June, our summer school program offers six-week intensive language courses and conversation courses. In July and August, you can also join our summer immersion weeks: one-week immersive language courses that help you kickstart your learning journey or give your language skills a powerful boost.
Six-week intensive language courses and conversation courses (from mid-June)
During our summer school schedule, we offer six-week intensive language courses – each consisting of two 1.5-hour lessons per week, for a total of 12 lessons – as well as conversation courses designed to boost your speaking skills. Summer Immersion Weeks (July and August)
Are you looking to make significant progress in just six days? In the last week of July and first week of August we offer Summer Immersion Weeks. These courses are designed to let you dive into a language quickly and effectively. The courses consist of five intensive 3-hour lessons, followed by one excursion day where you put everything you’ve learned into practice. Note that all lessons are on location (Gerard Doustraat 220). Click on the course of your choice for information about schedules and prices.

Now that you know the school, we would love to see you coming back for learning a language! At Taalhuis we have courses for adults and children for 10 languages. If you want to improve your Spanish skills, or learning Catalan, Italian, Greek, Farsi, Arabic, French, Turkish, Dutch, Hebrew take a look to our courses. We also have a variety of workshop every month for those that enjoy learning a language in a short, interactive format.
Next courses start in mid June, and our summer school will kick off by the end of July!
