Where better to learn a language than in the country where it is spoken? This spring, Taalhuis travels to Milano for a special language trip. Dive into the language and culture with us and find out why so many students fall in love with Italian and Italy.
From 12 to 16 April 2027, we will take you on an unforgettable trip to explore the stunning beauty of Milano in the spring.
Milano is known as Italy’s economic capital and it is a city where progress and tradition blend together, enhancing one another.
Milano boasts futuristic architecture that delights fans of contemporary architecture, but just round the corner you will discover historic 19th-century palaces, old social housing with a 20th-century working-class feel, and examples of industrial heritage. Milano has inspired books, films and songs; it is both ultra-modern and ancient. Dozens and dozens of cultures and languages coexist in Milano, yet there are traditions that have endured over the years and through changing times. With one of Italy’s most fascinating theatre and musical scenes, Milano is truly ready to fill us with wonder.
This year, the venue hosting our Italian lessons is very special: lessons will take place at Circolo ARCI Bellezza. This cultural and community centre is the oldest in Milan and one of the oldest in Italy, it has been founded in 1867 as Società di Mutuo soccorso Manfredini: a community of people from working-class and farming backgrounds who, by coming together, supported one another not only with their practical needs but also by getting together to play music, spend time together and have fun after a hard day’s work.
ARCI Bellezza forms, since 1970’s, part of the ARCI network of cultural centres. ARCI is Italy’s leading cultural organisation, focusing on music, culture, social activities such as courses for migrants, affordable sport’s courses, and it is the first and most important home for Italian LGBTQIA+ community organisations.
Taalhuis is delighted that, through this Italian language course, you will gain access to this historic Italian cultural and social institution, which is opening its doors to us with great enthusiasm and generosity.
Taalhuis invites you to discover this unique city together.
We will start the week with a welcome dinner on Sunday 11 April. From Monday to Friday you will have 3 hours of Italian language lessons in the morning. And in the afternoon there is a conversation session of 1 hour in an informal context. On Wednesday, there is an afternoon excursion during which you can further savour the cultural uniqueness of this incredible city.
