Taalhuis Amsterdam is proud to have a diverse and international team which unites experience and expertise from many different backgrounds to one place.
Next to a wide offer of Dutch as a second language (NT2) courses and foreign language courses in nine different languages, our school boasts an active department of teacher training. Since 2013 we’ve welcomed interns and teachers at the beginning of the career who join our school for a few months to observe, learn and practice the art of teaching. Over the past years there have been many teacher trainings and internal projects that focus on honing the key elements in our didactical approach: communicative, interactive and collaborative lessons.
As per January 2026 you can find various modules designed for (aspiring) language teachers. From the basic concepts of second language teaching, to in depth workshops and training on specific topics. Most modules have a cross-linguistic approach and are accessible for teachers of all languages.
