Esther is a Dutch teacher at Taalhuis Amsterdam. She studied History and Art History at the University of Amsterdam and specialized in seventeenth-century Dutch drawings. She worked at Rijksmuseum and at Multatuli Huis, where she developed a love of Dutch literature.

Esther has lived in Amsterdam her whole life and can tell you a lot about the city’s art, literature, and history. She enjoys sharing some of this knowledge with her students.

You can make Esther happy by pointing out false friends in the Dutch language. In addition to her work at Taalhuis, Esther loves reading and enjoys doing a crossword puzzle in her favourite local pub on a Sunday morning. She is also the mother of two amazing children.
