Before the KETI-KOTI-lecture about Sranan Tongo by Abram de Swaan we invite you to have a seat in our pop-up Surinamese restaurant where chef Judith Cyrus (De Buitenvrouw) will serve a 3-course menu designed for this special evening.
Get a taste of the rich Surinamese cuisine, a mouthwatering fusion of cultures.
Tonight’s menu:
Passion Boost – Home made ginger beer with passion fruit
Heri Heri – a refined interpretation of this traditional dish with root vegetables and salted cod fish.
Five Spice Chicken / Five Spice Celeriac* – main dish of marinated chicken or celeriac, served with plantain, crispy garter beens crumble, sweet potato and rice.
Bojo with Orgeade ice cream – traditional Surinam bojo with cassave and coconut, paired with home made Orgeade ice cream.
