Een taal leren werkt het beste als er veel input en veel output is. Om zich compleet in de Nederlandse taal en cultuur onder te dompelen hebben onze cursisten met docenten Una, Janneke, Ella en Myrte vier dagen lang doorgebracht op het meest afgelegen eiland van Nederland, Schiermonnikoog. Omringd door UNESCO-natuurerfgoed (de Waddenzee, lepelaars, zeehonden, rotganzen) en unieke eilandcultuur (fietsen, Claerkampster kloosterbitter, kibbeling) hebben we de hele dag door Nederlands geleerd en gebruikt.
Na een korte kennismakingsactiviteit hadden we ons welkomstdiner bij Hotel van der Werff, waar de tijd stil lijkt te staan.
De rest van het weekend waren de ochtenden gevuld met lessen in het Aude Kolonyhus en de middagen met excursies en werken aan de Schiermonnikoogbingo.
De avonden brachten we door met eten, drankjes, potjes Weerwolven en de eilanddisco verkennen.
Een nieuwe taal spreken kan spannend en lastig zijn, maar onze cursist Mylinda heeft het beste motto bedacht: “Ik doe het toch, met moed!”
