Mechteld has been teaching Dutch to teenagers and adults for years, because for her, Dutch is the most beautiful language there is. That’s why in her lessons, in addition to the regular course materials, you’ll also get to know some gems by Dutch singer-songwriters, ‘smartlappen’, prose texts, and poetry.

In her free time, Mechteld likes to flirt with other languages and after living in Valencia for three years, the Spanish language has also found its way into her heart. Currently she’s focusing on French, so you’ll see her around at French-Dutch intercambios and other French events. And whenever she’s not busy with languages, Mechteld can be found at a movie theatre, at the beach, or at the bouldering hall.
