Doing archeological fieldwork, studying, travelling, doing an internship – in short, staying in Greece is more engaging when you are able to communicate in… Greek! The Nederlands Instituut Athene and Taalhuis Amsterdam together with the Modern Greek department of the University of Amsterdam have developed intensive Greek courses in Athens. The courses are geared to students and PhD’s. In this 8 day course there are 4 to 4,5 hours of lessons each day (plus self study).
The next Modern Greek intensive course will take place from 10 November (arrival day) until 19 November (departure day) and will be conducted on two levels: II and IV.
Modern Greek II (Επικοινωνήστε ελληνικά 1 κεφ. 13-24)
Modern Greek IV (Επικοινωνήστε ελληνικά 2 κεφ. 13-24)
These intensive courses take place at the Netherlands Institute and of course on the streets of Athens. In highly interactive lessons you will be encouraged to speak Greek from day one, and the teachers will mostly speak in the target language (Greek). The teachers will also help you to use the language outside the classroom by taking you on city tours to markets, theatres, museums and more.
Of course you will also work on your grammar skills and build vocabulary.
The deadline for registration was 9 September, but there are still a few spots available. Contact the Netherlands Institute if you would like to join!
