French for children - Taalhuis Amsterdam

French

Are you looking for a place where your child can learn to speak French, or improve their French language skills? In one school year (in 35 playful lessons), Martijn (a heritage speaker himself, grown up in France in a Dutch speaking family) will open the door to France and the French language and culture.

These courses are created specifically for French speaking children who have at least one parent whose native language is French. The courses focus in particular on improving written skills. A lot of time will also be devoted to cultural knowledge. The French courses for children aim to close the gap between using French at home and using it for other purposes.

Our courses follow the French education system:
Level 1 is for children at the level of CP, CE1 and CE2 of the French école élémentaire.
Level 2 is for children at the level of CM1 and CM2 of the French école élémentaire and 6th and 5th of le collège.

If you’re not sure which level suits your child best, we offer an intake assessment. You can contact us at info@taalhuisamsterdam.nl to schedule an intake assessment with our French as Heritage Language teacher.

The French courses for children are developed in collaboration with L’ Alliance Française Kennemerland (Haarlem).
