New language courses start in January 2021. The ever changing ‘corona situation’ makes it very challenging to plan ahead. That’s why we’ve decided to plan most of our January courses online. A few courses are planned in our classrooms, with only limited spots available in order to maintain 1,5 m distance. The location Hortus, Dam, Vondelpark or Online next to each course indicates where each course is planned. If governmental policies or safety measures concerning corona change, we will have to move our offline lessons online for a short (or longer) while.
Our online classes are organised via ZOOM. We really miss welcoming our students to Taalhuis and we look forward to having a cup of coffee, raising a glass of wine, watching Italian or Iranian movies and listening to the Taalhuis Band together soon. But, in the meantime, our team has worked very hard to make the online classes as interactive and engaging as possible. This way we hope to stay connected during this strange time in all of our lives and to keep supporting your language adventure!
UPDATE 14/12/2020
Following the latest press conference and the new rules of lockdown, we unfortunately have to inform you that all January courses planned offline will have to start online. We’ll keep the number of students in these groups small, so that we can move them back to offline as soon as possible – hopefully right after the end of this lockdown on 19 January. The courses planned online will remain online for the full duration of the course.
UPDATE 13/01/2021
Unfortunately last night’s press conference didn’t bring us the good news we’ve all been wishing for and lockdown has been extended until 9 February. That means our ‘offline’ groups will stay online a little longer, but… we still hold out hope that we can move them offline later in the course!
