Hebrew reading and writing workshop: reading without vowels – part I

You have already mastered the Hebrew alphabet and learned Ktav letters and now it is time to learn how to read without the nikud (ניקוד), the signs that we put in or next to the letters to represent vowels.

The Hebrew alphabet doesn’t have vowels but instead, we use nikuds, and reading without them can be a challenge since many words appear the same! During the workshop, we’ll learn how to read words and sentences without nikud. We will look at the context and practice reading!

This workshop is open to everyone at an A1+ level. Anyone with a higher level is also welcome to refresh their knowledge. The duration of the workshop is 3 hours, including a short break. The workshop can be followed as a single workshop but also serves as a good preparation/basis before the third session of this grammar series: reading without vowels – part II.
