Taalhuis Amsterdam celebrates its 10th anniversary with a language festival in De Hallen. Join us for a day filled with language and culture. This day is powered by teachers, students and the many organisations and friends we’ve worked with over the past 10 years.

You can not register for the lectures anymore, but just pass by De Hallen!

13:00-17:00 Market
Play the Dutch dictionary game, do Greek vocabulary memory games, play backgammon, write your name in Arabic. Come get a taste of Italian, Greek, Iranian, Arabic, Hebrew, French, Spanish, Turkish and Dutch language and culture during the (interactive) market! Also on the market: Greek bookstore Diavazo, Italian caterer Pasta Paradijs, the Amsterdam Spanish Filmfestival and world kitchen caterer Mama’s Koelkast.

13:30-18:00 workshops and lectures

12:30-15:30 Play and read in Greek, Turkish and Dutch (for children of all ages)
We start the day in the library:
From 12:30-13:15 Annita will read a Greek book with children and do various playful activities.
From 13:30-14:15 our Turkish teacher Yüsra will read a Turkish book and will teach children a some Turkish through playful activities
From 14:30-15:15 our Dutch teacher Sharon will read a Dutch book
Children of all ages are welcome in OBA West!
