Johannes has been a Dutch teacher at Taalhuis Amsterdam since 2018. Besides teaching, he trains new teachers and takes Italian and Spanish classes with his collegues. He holds a Research Master’s degree in Dutch literature, so it is no surprise that he also organises the B2+ book club on the highlights of Dutch literature. Besides literature, Johannes loves proverbs. (Can you recognise the proverb he depicts in his picture?)

Although he is quite a bookworm, Johannes prefers to facilitate activities where students can leave their books at home, such as language exchanges (like the Taalhuis intercambios) and social gatherings (like the Dutch Taalhuisborrels).
