Do you speak and understand (some) Turkish or did you grow up hearing and speaking Turkish at home but never studied it formally? Maybe you understand most conversations and can speak with family or friends, but grammar still feels like a mystery. Why do we say ‘evim’ (my house) and ‘okulum’ (my school), but not ‘evum’ or ‘okulim’? Perhaps you’ve tried a regular course but weren’t sure where you fit. This course is for you if you already use Turkish in daily life and want to continue building your skills, but first need to fill in the gaps.
Turkish is a language built on consistent and straightforward rules. In this course, you’ll revisit these rules and fill in the gaps over six weeks. You’ll explore the underlying logic of the Turkish language in a way that helps you move forward with more clarity. Using authentic materials and conversation-based activities, you’ll deepen your understanding of grammar, spelling, and pronunciation. You’ll build on the language you already use, strengthen your foundations, and gain confidence in speaking and writing more accurately.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid understanding of A1-level grammar and phonetic rules. Your fluency, grammar, and confidence will develop in a more balanced way, putting you on track for higher-level courses. You will start using Turkish, paying attention to standard spelling and pronunciation.
No textbook is required, all materials will be provided by the teacher.
