Merhaba! This is Yüsra Hilal, from Istanbul, teaching Turkish at Taalhuis Amsterdam. In September 2022 Yüsra started her master’s degree in Linguistics in the Netherlands at the University of Leiden. She previously studied Linguistics in Istanbul and has always been interested in learning and teaching languages. Besides her native language Turkish, she speaks English and French and she would love to learn Dutch and Greek as well. From her experience of teaching English to preschool children she learnt that teaching is creative work that makes one think ‘outside of the box’ and create more empathy.
