Dutch A1.1

Would you like to start learning Dutch? Do you want to order your coffee, go grocery shopping and order your drinks at the bar in Dutch? And would you like to be able to introduce yourself and to talk about your family? In this course, you’ll build vocabulary and learn basic grammar of the Dutch language, including how to make phrases in the present tense, the use of nouns in singular and plural and the form and placement of adjectives. For this beginners course, no prior knowledge of Dutch is required!

A1.1 courses with one lesson per week use the new 2026 edition of ‘Nederlands in Gang’ and cover chapter 1-5.
A1.1 courses with two lessons per week use the 2017 edition of ‘Nederlands in Gang’ and cover chapter 1-6.

We are gradually transitioning from the old edition of ‘Nederlands in Gang’ to the new one. Please note that the new edition is completely revised and therefore it is not possible to follow a course with a different edition than the one indicated above.
