Elianne has been a Dutch teacher at Taalhuis Amsterdam since 2018. After studying classical and Scandinavian languages, and graduating cum laude in both of them, she wrote her MA thesis (Classics and Ancient Civilizations) about Ancient Greek inscriptions.
Elianne is always on the lookout for a new strange language to learn; after Icelandic, Færøysk is high on the list. Her love for the North and its nature has also inspired her to organise Dutch conversation walks (even when it’s real gluggaveður), because she believes walking together creates a relaxed atmosphere that is just right for doing the most scary and lovely thing of all: daring to speak a new language!
