Originally trained in Fine Arts at the Anadolu University, Esra worked and lived in Turkey, Canada and the Netherlands. After her pedagogical studies, she taught graphic design to highschool students and discovered her love for teaching. After moving to the Netherlands, she followed several trainings in second language teaching and joined the Taalhuis team to share the Turkish language and culture here in Amsterdam.

Besides languages and graphic design, Esra enjoys gardening, international movies, cooking experimental vegetarian food, talking to her cat, Beşiktaş, and drawing. Her favourite Turkish song is Benimle Oynar mısın?
