The objective of this course is to improve your reading comprehension, while familiarizing yourself with this famous collection of Middle Eastern folktales.
During this course you’ll read (part of) a special edition of ‘One Thousand and One Nights’, carefully curated for elementary-level learners. Designed with the adult learner of Egyptian-Arabic in mind, this book is structured to enhance vocabulary, boost memorization, and foster a deep understanding of the language.

Before each lesson, you’ll read a story, which you then discuss together in class. The texts offer a chance to refresh your vocabulary, and learn new vocabulary and grammar in context. By reading short texts on a regular basis, you will improve your reading skills and become more familiar with the written Egyptian language.

This course has lessons every other week. Course dates are: 22 September, 6 & 20 October, 3 & 17 November and 1 December.
