Are you interested in art, do you like to talk about it and do you want to improve your Italian? Then this is the ideal course for you. In this art-themed conversation course you will learn useful words and concepts that help you to describe a work of art. Guided by your teacher, you will learn to give your opinion on the works of Italian artists such as Giotto, Piero della Francesca and Caravaggio, but also modern artists and art movements such as ‘futurismo’ and De Chiricoe will be presented and discussed and some of the recent exhibitions taking place in Italy will be highlighted.

There are two Italiano con l’arte courses:
Wednesday morning:  A selection of artists chosen by the students (and therefore varying) will be examined and discussed every week, allowing everyone to bring their personal contribution to the course program and conversation.

Wednesday evening:  Starting with the works of Caravaggio and his ‘chiaroscuro’, going back in time to the origin of modern painting of Giotto, you will see and discuss different artists and their most interesting and famous paintings.
