Have you reached B1 level in Levantine Arabic (Shaamy) and would you like to take your skills to the next level? This course introduces and develops mastery of Arabic verb morphology through stem forms (فَعَلَ – فاعِل – أفعَل) in Levantine Arabic. Students will gain a deep understanding of how these verb patterns function in different linguistic contexts, with a strong focus on the meaning differences, conjugation rules, and structure. The course also highlights how these forms are used naturally in everyday spoken Shaamy. In addition, the course covers irregular verb types such as hollow verbs (الفعل الأجوف) and defective verbs (الفعل الناقص), enabling students to recognize and correctly use these challenging structures in both comprehension and production.
The course is further strengthened by listening activities on a variety of everyday topics, such as describing what you do every day, routines, and daily life situations.
Students will also engage in interactive conversation tasks in both past and present tense, allowing them to actively apply the grammar in realistic speaking contexts. These communicative exercises help develop fluency, spontaneity, and accuracy in both structured and free speech, ensuring learners can confidently use Levantine Arabic in real-life situations.
This course covers unit 1 & 2 of ‘iMaster Arabic Level B2’.
