Aron started teaching Latin at Taalhuis Amsterdam in 2018. He studied Latin and Classical Greek at the Accademia Vivarium Novum in Italy (Frascati) and at the University of Amsterdam. He loves talking about the ways in which Greek and Roman culture have influenced later periods.
In 2022 Aron completed his Master ‘Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Studies’ at the University of Utrecht and specializes in Latin literature from the Netherlands. In his classes, he always aims to read original Latin texts from all different periods: from the second century BC to the eighteenth century AD! He uses ‘Familia Romana’ in combination with his own material to discuss writers like Ovidius, Tacitus, Catullus, Hiëronymus (Vulgaat), Egeria (Peregrinatio) and Poggio Bracciolini (Facetiae).
