This very dynamic and creative course has the main goal to help students read and write in Italian.
The predominant teaching methodology will be that of storytelling and students will be involved in reading and rewriting various stories. Music and theater will help them along this path (if a student plays an instrument, he/she can definitely bring it to class).
As a reference for some basic activities the teacher will use the book Girotondo 2/3 (Guerra edizioni) but lots of other original materials and some board games will be used as well.
The I Libri Volanti library, born 5 years ago and consisting of about 1070 books, almost all dedicated to children, will provide part of it. More relevance will be given to Italian stories, true or related to myth, so that epos and legends will be often central in the storytelling activities.
The teacher, Elena Crescenzo, will also try to personalise the learning path of each student, according to their individual skills and levels of Italian.
To meet Elena, ask further questions about the course or take a trial lesson, come on September 4th at 14.00h at our open day and Piccolo Mercato Italiano
