Come and join our Dutch teacher Elianne for a walk through the bird paradise Het Twiske! Just outside of Amsterdam you find this nature park that is known for its many small islands, sloten and kanalen. Dogs are allowed to come as well, but to avoid disturbing the breeding rietzanger, snor and roerdomp they should be on a leash.

During the walk you will have time to get to know the other students and practise your Dutch conversation skills while talking about ‘koetjes en kalfjes’ (small talk, for all levels!).

What you should bring:
– sturdy shoes
– rain clothes (or your swimming costume if the weather allows!)
– something to eat for lunch
– a bottle of water or a thermos

The walk starts at 11:30 from bus station Molenzijl, Den Ilp, and finishes at the same place around 16:00. It is also possible to cycle to the starting point; it takes about 30-45 minutes from Amsterdam Noord.
